About Bartosz
Dr Bartosz Zaniewski is a social work lecturer and the Academic Lead for the Social Work Programme. He has worked with children and families in a safeguarding/child protection context in statutory and non- statutory services. Dr Bartosz Zaniewski has practiced as a front-line Child Protection Social Worker, Consultant Social Worker and Team Manager including managing a multi-disciplinary Edge of Care Team (Bridges). He also has worked with children in residential settings.
Dr Bartosz Zaniewski has a specific interest in Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) prevention and particularly the prevention of harmful sexual behaviour (HSB). He has worked directly with children, young people and families affected by CSA and HSB. He also has managed and supervised a team of social workers working in this field as well as provided consultations to other professionals. In addition, Bartosz was involved in developing community-based approaches to prevent Child Sexual Abuse.
