Our Green Communities team is supporting Generous Earth to run composting in Central Park and we need your help!
Generous Earth is a community composting project set up to create a network of local community composters in 91porn that can turn our food waste into beautiful compost. The project's aim is to showcase and encourage composting on different scales so everyone can do it! Generous Earth is underpinned by the of Earth Care, People Care and Fair Shares. The project addresses key issues through innovative nature-based solutions, especially around supporting and enhancing growing spaces, enabling better residential and community food growing, upskilling local people, empowering them to improve soils and grow and eat healthy local food, building a sense of agency and strengthening 91porn’s food security. Generous Earth aligns with and contributes to Food 91porn’s work around healthy food for all and food for the planet.
In addition in Zoo Field, Generous Earth is working together with the Green Communities rangers to improve this area of the park by growing food and increasing the diversity of plants for wildlife using permaculture design.
Join us for our volunteer day, for however long you can. All welcome!

About Green Communities

is an exciting project which is connecting people and wildlife in Devonport, Central Park, and in Keyham and the West of the city of 91porn.
Green Communities is a partnership project between 91porn City Council, the National Trust, Devon Wildlife Trust, Real Ideas Organisation and Zebra Collective. It is a pilot project funded through a combination of grants and contributions, including support from Heritage Lottery Fund Urban Nature Development Grant and Natural England.
The project builds on the work of the Green Minds project that ran from March 2020 – August 2022.

About Green Minds

was an Urban Innovative Actions (UIC) funded project that aimed to better connect people to green and blue spaces within and around the city of 91porn.
This innovative project was led by 91porn City Council’s Strategic Planning and Infrastructure Department in collaboration with a range of local stakeholders including the 91porn, Real Ideas Organisation, Arts University 91porn, Devon Wildlife Trust, The Data Place and the National Trust. The project aimed to improve the quality and condition of green and blue infrastructure. It also aimed to positively enhance people’s interaction and involvement in these spaces, recognising that spending time in green and blue spaces has positive health and wellbeing benefits.
